Wine Tasting Fundraiser – Sponsored by the Savage Rotary and Savage Arts Council
Thursday, June 24th 7:00pm – 9:00pm Businesses can register to be a Table Sponsor for this event ~ contact Barry Stock for more information about Sponsoring a Table at the Wine Tasting ~ (952) 882-2646. Tickets for the Wine Tasting are $20 ~ purchase tickets in advance at Savage Art Studios & Marketplace Liquors or at the gate. No one under the age of 21 will be allowed at the wine tasting (children included).
Dan Patch 5K Race and 1-Mile Fun Run
Saturday, June 26th 9:00am – 10:00am (Check-in/ On Site Registration is from 8:00am-9:00am) Whether you are a competitive runner or a running enthusiast – the Dan Patch 5K and/or 1-Mile Fun Run is for you! The route will begin at Lifetime Fitness and is designed to show you the scenic sites around Community Park in Savage. Get your co-workers, family, neighbors and friends to join you in this wonderful community event. Proceeds benefit the Prior Lake –Savage Area Educational Foundation and the Foundation 191 – so sign up TODAY at www.danpatchdays.org! Pre-Register before June 16th and save $5.00! The cost for the 5K is $20 for Adults and $15 for Students. Cost to register for the 1-Mile Fun Run is $10 per person. A FREE t-shirt will be given to all pre-registered runners. All ages and abilities welcome! There will be Awards given out in 10 categories!
3rd Lair Skateboarding Competition
Back by popular demand….the 3rd Lair Skateboarding Competition will take place on Saturday, June 26th from 10:30am-2:00pm at the Skate Board Park in Community Park. Skate Boarders can register for the entire Summer Series or just for this one day event in Savage. On-site registration is $10 per event. There will be a “Day of Event” Winner as well as over an “Overall Series” Winner. Business Expo – Sponsored by the Savage Chamber of Commerce
The 3rd annual Business Expo will be held on Saturday June 26th from 3pm-8pm. Savage Chamber Members can showcase their business at Dan Patch Days on Saturday, June 26 from 3pm - 8 p.m. Whether you’re a large corporation or an independent contractor….this is a great way to show your support for the Chamber & the Community! Booth Fee of $50 includes an 8ft table & chair! Bring your own tent if you wish & electricity is not available. Limited booth space so register today! Water Fights – Sponsored by the Savage Fire Department
The public is invited to don a full set of firefighting gear and use real hoses, at real firefighting pressure, to move a 30-gallon drum across the opponent's water-fight goal. Register online at danpatchdays.org, call the Department at 952-882-2689 or register the day of the event beginning at 2 pm just south of the main tents at Savage Community Park. The cost is $20 in advance for a team of four - $25 the day of the event. Each team is guaranteed two contests and trophies are awarded to the first and second-place finishers. Limit 10 teams. The Department fire trucks will also be on hand for the kids to view.
NEW – Perkins Pie Eating Contest
A Pie Eating Contest….a “Sweet” little event brought to you by our friends at Perkins Restaurant! This “no utensils needed” eating contest will be held Saturday, June 26 at 2:30 p.m. in front of the main stage in Community Park. The object of the competition is simple…..
Eat a yummy pie faster than your competitors and win free pies from Perkins for an entire year!! That’s right….one delicious pie, your choice, from Perkins per month until July 2011!! Doesn’t get any easier than that, right? If you want to participate, the event costs $10 to enter for individuals 16 years or older. Registration forms can be obtained HERE or at Perkins Restaurant in Savage. All pre-registered contestants will receive a free “I Ate Like a Horse at Dan Patch Days” t-shirt. Same-day registration is also available.
NEW – Lifetime Fitness Strong Man Competition
Calling all STRONG Men and Woman!!! Lifetime Fitness is hosting a Dan Patch Days Strong Man Competition on Saturday June 26th at Savage Community Park!! There will be a Female Competition held from 2:00pm – 3:00pm and a Male Competition from 3:00pm – 4:00pm. The cost is $10.00/ person (*Must be 18 years old to enter). All entries receive a Strong Man T-Shirt/ Trophies will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place winners! Register at Savage Lifetime Fitness Front Desk or at the Savage City Hall. Buffalo Wild Wings Blazin’ Challenge
The Buffalo Wild Wings Blazin’ Challenge will be held on Friday, June 25th from 9:00pm-9:30pm at Community Park in front of the Main Stage. Register at Buffalo Wild Wings in Savage or at the Buffalo Wild Wings “Mini Taste Booth” that will be open on Friday night at Dan Patch Days! There is no charge to enter the “Blazin’ Challenge” but space is limited ~ early sign up is recommended! All contestants must have a paid admittance to the park on Friday night, in order to compete. Blazin’ Challenge T-Shirts will be awarded to those that finish their wings in the time period allotted.
